Epic Games has unveiled the new Fortnite map for Chapter 2 and it’s better than what we saw three years ago when the game first came out. It’s bigger, it has more locations, and there are new water areas where you can even go fishing. The new island has 13 new major locations, though you won’t be able to see them in your in-game map until you find them one by one.
Also, the new island is more mountainous, and it appears to bigger than its predecessor. But is it really bigger? The new map is 2600 square meters, while the old one is 2500. However, the new map for Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 1 has more empty space, therefore the playable area is actually smaller than its predecessor’s.
Although the map starts blacked out, you can quickly unlock all named locations by simply exploring the new island. There are new vehicles and new ways to get from one place to another, so finding all the landmarks on the map shouldn’t be a problem.
