The City of Seattle just launched a new online map that allows you to find out where to get food during the coronavirus pandemic.
The map aims to connect local businesses with people who want to get food from their favorite restaurants. You can use the map to find restaurants, cafes, and bars that are offering takeout or delivery services during this time of need.
The map pinpoints nearby restaurants, provides contact details, and it also links to third-party delivery services like DoorDash and Uber Eats, among others.
Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan says they’re doing everything they can locally to “support small businesses during this unprecedented moment in history.”
Durkan thinks the new interactive map can help and is encouraging business owners to add their business to the map. If you want to add your business to the map, simply contact the City of Seattle via email at sup[email protected] and they’ll help you get started.
Residents can also help improve the map by posting pictures and videos of their favorite restaurants and tagging @SeattleEconomy on their social media accounts. There’s one requirement, though. You must tag businesses that offer to-go options such as takeout or delivery.
